Working within BACP guidelines, support for counsellors and coaches to explore how best to support their end clients
At foundations4living, we bring our experience of Integrative Counselling and Leadership Coaching to our practice of Supervision.
We see Supervision joint endeavour and a collaborative working relationship, between two professionals, who hopefully have the same aims i.e. to offer the best possible counselling or coaching service to their end clients. Counselling and Coaching are rewarding, demanding, challenging and sometimes difficult professions to engage in and that is why the support of Supervision is vital – as described by the BACP below:
'Supervision is essential to how practitioners sustain good practice throughout their working life. Supervision provides practitioners with regular and ongoing opportunities to reflect in-depth about all aspects of their practice in order to work as effectively, safely and ethically as possible. Supervision also sustains the personal resourcefulness required to undertake the work’. (BACP 2018)
‘In supervision, Jan provides me with supportive, truthful feedback that both affirms my skill-set and yet points me towards new ways of being more effective with my clients’
